LAKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTHR) – Indiana State Police arrested a Greenwood man for his role in an alleged road rage incident near Lowell on Saturday.
Angel Colon, 51, of Greenwood and Sherman Townsend, 44, of Vadnais Heights, Minnesota were reportedly tailgating each other and changing speeds at random on Interstate 65, according to callers to 911.
Witnesses say this started about 4 miles south of the Lowell Exit, and continued southbound for around five miles to the Roselawn Exit at SR 10.
Police found a black handgun in Colon’s car which he allegedly displayed during the incident. Colon was charged with Pointing a Firearm at Another Person.
Townsend was found with a collapsible baton which he allegedly displayed. Townsend was charged with Aggressive Driving.
Andrew Halvorson, 27, of St. Paul, Minnesota was riding with Townsend and was charged with Possession of Marijuana.
