Qualifying Conditions
Minnesota Medical Marijuana Qualifying Conditions
Patients who are legal Minnesota residents and have been diagnosed with one of the following qualifying conditions are eligible to receive medical cannabis.
- Cancer associated with severe/chronic pain, nausea or severe vomiting, or cachexia or severe wasting
- Glaucoma
- HIV/AIDS
- Tourette Syndrome
- Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)
- Seizures, including those characteristic of Epilepsy
- Severe and persistent muscle spasms, including those characteristic of Multiple Sclerosis.
- Inflammatory bowel disease
- Crohn’s disease
- Terminal illness
- Intractable pain
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder | PTSD
- Autism
- Obstructive Sleep Apnea
- Alzheimer’s Disease
- Chronic Pain
- Macular Degeneration
Patients may petition the Department of Health to add a qualifying medical condition or an approved medical cannabis delivery method. The department accepts petitions only between June 1 and July 31 each year.
