Regional Director of Operations – Vireo Health Inc. – Minneapolis, MN

Job Description: Oversee all aspects of operations over a specific region comprised of multiple business units. Business units may include cultivation, manufacturing and distribution. This individual is responsible for maintaining and achieving performance metrics within their region and is expected to offer on-site oversight if/when needed. Reports to VP of Operations. Manages and is responsible for several site General Managers and their teams. Works in collaboration with the Director of Product Quality and other Directors of Operations. This position may require a significant amount of travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage cross functional teams in startup environment across multiple business units
  • Create and drive individual business unit agendas based on corporate goals
  • Ability to handle and orchestrate rapid changes in direction
  • Build and maintain a successful operations team
  • Develop and maintain operational metrics
  • Develop/understand equipment and labor capacity models
  • Maintain constant communication with team of General Managers
  • Provide immediate feedback to business units to ensure progress is never slowed or delayed
  • Provide budgeting feedback based on business goals
  • Ensure state regulations are being followed

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in management of manufacturing operations
  • Experience managing multiple sites
  • Ability to integrate into existing operations quickly
  • Ability to communicate to diverse team
  • Ability to achieve operational goals under strict financial constraints
  • Self-starter
  • Strong quantitative skill set
  • Some project management experience
  • Adapt to rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to use multiple software platforms and potentially develop personal tools
  • Experience working in USDA/FDA regulated environment
  • At least two years of people management experience
  • Can prioritize with minimal direction
  • Experience with entrepreneurship
  • Startup Experience
  • Prior experience in highly regulated business
  • Experience with conflict management
  • Familiar with multi-tiered supply chain
  • Experience with budgeting
  • Familiar with FDA Good Manufacturing Practices (or similar)
  • Experience with manufacturing equipment
  • Bachelor s Degree in Management, Engineering Discipline, Science Discipline or equivalent experience
  • MBA or Advanced technical degree is preferred
  • Can work weekends or evenings as job demands
  • Ability to communicate orally with team
  • Occasional heavy lifting may be required
  • Ability to work with a computer and remain seated or standing for extended periods of time
  • Must be open to travel as needed to maintain control of region
  • Must be able to think outside the box
